SpiritualGorila Posted May 18, 2006 Report Share Posted May 18, 2006 I used xp smokers tune up thing, and now whenever i restart my computer, it will start some things, then it will pause for about 3-4 minutes, and then start the rest. It won't start my internet connection until after the 4 minutes, and when i try to connect myself, the computer freezes until the 4 minutes are up anyways. It is a bit worrying when a Goooogle + Siteadvisor comes up with red crosses on a page, although they weren't on the direct link to XPSmoker.Can you either uninstall or System Restore to a time before you installed this or, better, re-install from a good backup (don't tell me, you don't have a backup :( ).There is a help forum for the program at http://www.xp-smoker.com/phpbb/index.php who may b able to assist.Any software that has any adverse effects on my machines always gets removed very quickly and my faith in it would be immediately lost, however good other people may have said it was and this would be one of them if it had acted like this for me.
