sidy Posted May 29, 2006 Report Share Posted May 29, 2006 Hi there, I've just installed windows xp on 15gb of my 120hd (the rest is ubuntu), but the sound is not working at all.I've been at 'panel control' in 'sound and audio devices', there is no sound at all there. The written is all in grey.My Graphic card is FX5200LP.My motherboard is Asus K8V-X.AMD 64.1GB ram.Can you please, give me same directions of where to look or downloading sounds...? -pops- Posted May 29, 2006 Report Share Posted May 29, 2006 Have you installed the drivers?If it is onboard sound, you should have a disk with the motherboard utilities on it. If it is a separate sound card, you need to install the driver software.I have just checked and it does appear to have onboard 6 channel sound. So, install the software from the disk provided with the motherboard (you will most likely be able to install other useful bits as well.)If you don't have a disk, audio drivers can be downloaded from click here.
