Windows screen disable

Hi,

Can somebody help me on how to re-enable windows and destop screen. FYI, I run the third party application software and after completed setup it required to reboot. But when the windows run it suddenly lock all the windows program including the desktop icon.

I can only press Ctrl+Alt+Del to shutdown. The third party system might replace certain file and registry.

How to re-enable Windows Program?

Sorry, I do not quite understand your problem - what and how is it "locked"? Can you post a screenshot?

Are the desktop icons still there, or are they missing. If they are missing, install and run Tweak UI (repair icons) from the Windows XP Power Toys page.

Yes, I can't access taskbar, start buttom and program menu but I can only access Windows Task Manager. I can run windows explore and view all the drive and file through windows task manager> File> run> file name.

What I need here is to let my windows screen work as normal (display all taskbar, start buttom, deksktop icon etc). Any sugestion?

I tried Tweak UI but it won't work.

Its very hard to understand your problem. Do you mean when your computer starts nothing is there but the wallpaper/background? If so press control+alt+del go to the applications tab and click the New Task button, then type explorer.exe and hit ok. Did that help? If its something else post back :)

2. What happens if you double-click them?
   
3. If you don't have any icons on the desktop, TweakUI (Repair icons) did not fix that?
   
4. Is your taskbar maybe hidden? If you move the pointer to the bottom of the screen, can you try to drag it up?
   
5. Can you open the Control Panel (from Windows Explorer)?

   ans: there is no Icon on desktop

   ans: the taskbas is totally disable. If it hidden we can set always shown on top

   Yes, I can open it via task manager/ explorer

   ans: I already uninstalled it but it still won't work.
   
   
7. Just out of curiosiry, what is the application that caused all this?
   ans: For your information, this application used for highway system. Currently their support is very bad and we need to troubleshoot and solve by ourselves. The software will communicate and control others hardware/ peripheral too.
   
   I think the reason they do this (hide or disable other windows function) is to avoid other parties install others software. They programmed it in such away that only their software could run in that particular machine.

   I know that someone can customize windows start bar/ taskbar and hide certain program. Maybe they do the same thing during their programming works.
   
   I having a trouble to troubleshoot this window is abnormal running.

   Yes, when the PC start it only display wallpaper backgound. If I need to acces other system and file, I need to go through Ctrl+Alt+Del process. It is very messy work. I need to enable all the hidden start bar/ task bar.

Can you use System Restore to go back to the situation before you installed the application?

But anyway, if you need to install that application again, then you will probably have the same situation again. Can you get the company who wrote the application to give you on-site support (to come to your office and install the application)?

Try this

Open regedit.exe and delete these keys

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\explorer.exe

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\iexplorer.exe
