Security fora under attack?

Several times this and last week Castlecops website and forum was under attack and unavailable. Today again.

Now I just found that Wilders Security forum is also unavailable. although not a security website, the CCleaner website and forum is also down.

It appears as if the spammers/scammers/phishers/hackers are launching a concerted attack against anybody/anything that threatens their "business". It looks like after they successfully shut down Blue Security a short while ago, they seem to be encouraged to eliminate all other "nuisances" on the Internet. (Remember that spam fighters are often labeled "Internet Terrorists" by spammers.) It is probably just a matter of time until Windows Forum and similar sites will be target.

Do we have to let this happen, or can we fight back against these organized criminals? I mean, there are laws against these kind of attacks in most civilized countries. Are law enforcement agencies completely uninterested in these kind of activities...?

Correction: it was my problem that I was unable to access these sites. When accessing them via United States, no problem; just locally they are inaccessible.

Still, the problem of DDoS attacks is real, and it has brought more than one website to its knees.

It still could be real though and Japan is just the "trial" area for these attacks to begin.
