I was led here by a glowing blue click here and have since had a browse around and considered my options.I'll probably roost here for a while yet, to lick my wounds, as it were. The game server is still up, and running Spearhead, I sent an email to your hotmail account detailing how to access the reserved slots, no need for you to have to fight for a place like the common rabble (like Spook Tooth).May post the details here, but how do I know they're not some kind of server stealing evil do-ers? I saw your post but don't have the advantage of either ADSL, IRC, or even my trusty 28kbps dial up. Err, hate to miss out on the fun, especially since I got Spearhead also a little while ago. Since my flat is delayed (being fixed up: previous tenant and demolition), ADSL is also delayed but I've seen reduced connection fees and I am tempted to pay for 3 weeks work or so (may be a month) even if I have to go and then pay connection again. Signed up for the 128k but received a nice Xmas pressy from them with a free upgrade to 600k for 3 months. For the 128k BB service it cost's me £14.99 a month and it's brill, I would never go back to dial up. For brief summation - I have complete control of a Barrysworld server - for another 29 days anyway, I can change game, and set the parameters - to a fashion. I did ask for any suggestions when I posted in the Gamesroom so when I get around to putting it up in here, I'll do the same... Glad to see you got on okay Mundy, as well as Ordep... blimey... three people on the same game, it was almost like co-ordination.ADSL is worth it but I'm not sure I'd bother paying a connection fee twice (hardened northener an all that), sadly my getting a free (to you) server via a gentlemans agreement is more than likely a one-off.As for Dan... does he know about this place? It adds a hole new dimension to your computing experience, whizzing round the web now is a breeze. The online gaming bit is good fun to, really enjoyed it last night with a good bunch of grunts.The only problem i experience with ADSL is,2 or 3 times a week, and always the first time i try to log on in the morning, it wont let me for may be 10 minuets or 1/2 hour.Gave customer services a ring yesterday, got strait through !!!, which is one of the reasons i went with Zen, and the guy said it sometimes get confused, so you have to reboot, then all is well.Other than that blooming marvelous Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ordep, I will prob go for Zen myself as they have now reduced connection to £25 (ish) and just 1 month contract. IP, like you say, I may just wait till new place is ready then take the bb plunge, but broadband here I come, certainly. Bigdamouk, Zen are looking good then. NTL are not available in my area (sob) so ADSL it is for me - hence look closely at contract length and connection and past performance. Personally, 12 month contracts do not suit. ADSL guide.org is excellent. Static IP(s) (hence Zen's multiple offering) is plus for me (thinking of using the static stuff oneday).Ghost IP - I'd like very much to meet you, Mundy, Ordep and the rest for a blast on Spearhead sometime. Is it possible for 56ker like me to join in one night then? I wouldn't want to slow you boys down any and can wait till I get the ADSL. (+ I'm a bit of MOHAA virgin, haven't played it for quite a while).Well, noticed some more posts and will have to come back and read them sometime. See ya laters. Slight hitch is that MOH:AA isn't keen on letting 56k players enjoy their gaming experience, while we'd all be fine - there is a strong possibilty you'd be busy swearing at the screen and wondering when the lagging will stop....So, it is your call, but I wouldn't expect fast flowing lag-free gameplay... sorry to be so negative about it..
