Rune
Before everything was ok, but after HDformatting, reinstalling and full updateing of WinXP Home SP2 my PackardBell laptop do not show any video or mpegs in any format. Programs like RealPlayer, VLC or Mediaplayer (also IE plugins) only produce a black screen. The files play, but with sound only. (I can play Flashfiles in IE.) The PC work perfect, otherwise.I first thought it was a softwareproblem, but updateing codecs and drivers for videocard and bios did nothing for the better. All settings are standard and properties for all devices look ok in Contolpanel, so i suppose it is a hardwareproblem. Any suggestions? Rune
I never imagined "that" was, or could be the problem, -sinse my external screen displayed all Windows visual information (exept mpgs and video) And I still find it strange.I use an external screen\LCD monitor sinse my laptopscreen is broken.Perhaps somebody on this hardwareforum could tecnially explain how all visual information from OS and programs (and Flash) is transported to the videocard and further to the the video\external screen\monitor output socket, but not these standard fileformats. I admit there may be functions on the laptop I do not know.On the other side, I think Brasil will win Football WCC. :)
