Hi Forum,

i have the following problem: I opend up an excel file in an e-mail...i worked on it for a while and saved it from time to time. When I closed the mail, it is gone. I know there is a folder named differently on different pcs (like olkb or olk3 etc). But there is no excel file. With search i cannot find the file. Is there a possibiltity to get the file back? Thank you for your helps...

Hello, and welcome to the Windows Forum!

If you open an attachment from an email message, then save it, it will be saved in the email attachment. If you then save the email message, you will have the updated attachment in that email. If you don't save it, then the updates are lost.

This may or may not behave exactly the same way depending on the email client.

I always recommend to save email attachments to disk before making any updates.
