Guest LB Posted June 19, 2003 Report Share Posted June 19, 2003 Hi all,finally upgraded to an Athlon XP with an MSI KT3V Ultra mobo and 512mb DDR.One of the utilities that came with my mobo was a temp monitoring program. Seeing as i only had a P3 1ghz before, i never thought much about the CPU temp but now frying the CPU seems to be a possibility. Anyone any idea what the optimum CPU temp should be as mine is running at between 59 & 62 degrees currently. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was told that AMD only support the use of thermal pads and did not recommend the use of thermal paste (other than for testing etc).
