adsmith82
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...5BLN%5D;Q319974First of all... I have played with renaming folders a bit to try to get this to work correctly... so if the steps I describe don't make perfect sense for my results, I'm sorry. I expect those who are able to help me will know what's going on regardless.I followed the article... simple instructions to create a default user profile (profile template username was "Create"). I then created several new profiles based on the new custom default profile. I think what I did with renaming folders was logged in as each new user and had to change "Create's Documents" to "My Documents". But when I browse someone else's profile in "Documents and Settings", their my documents folder is called "Create's Documents". But when I log in as that user, it is "My Documents". I hope you follow. How do I get it to act like it is supposed to? I need to get rid of the traces of this user "Create" and replace them with the respective usernames. "Create" has to be stored in the registry and/or in the default user profile's directory somewhere. How do I get rid of it? I should have named it something other than "create" so I could more easily search the registry.I don't want to have to delete all these user accounts and restore the original default profile and create new ones and set them all up individually. Besides... I am a student IT worker and an e-business major and would like to know how to work with profiles and the registry. Would I learn all about this kind of thing if I took a Microsoft Windows course of some kind?Well, thanks for the help.
