svingris
Can anyone help with the following? I updated my Security/Pest control software, scanned and corrected issues with a trojan zlob. But since reboot I only get as far as the welcome screen. When I click on either of my two accounts it initiates the log in but logs back out immediately. The system restore was turned off so that is not an option. I did however make a backup folder on my desktop but as I can't login I can't get to it. This is on a dell computer so I don't have an XP disk and they won't send one to me ieither! ANy help would be greatly appreciated!!! Alan2273
Have you tried booting into safe mode.To enter safe mode, press F8 after you see the computer logo screen, for instance, at the Datamini / Gateway/ Dell logo screen. If you see a menu of items, use the arrows keys and select "Safe mode with networking". If you do not see this menu and the system goes into your usual Window environment desktop, then you have missed it. Try to restart your computer and try again. The system is still booting the floppy drive first so I think if there is a dos boot disk availble to down load I may be able to get in that way.
