Checked with cable company and everything is ok, yet when try to connect via internet explorer...cannot find server. Thanks for any help....down in Florida watching the alligators. Shanesby Posted July 29, 2006 Author Report Share Posted July 29, 2006 this is the first time i've connected this pc to the internet, first time dealing with cable modem, first time dealing with firewalls, I found a Norton personal firewall that is disabled, tell me more about firewalls, any free downloads out there for one? There is something called Internet Setup Wizard (or similar) that should guide you through the process.If you have done that, can you ping any resource on the Internet?
