absinthseb Posted July 29, 2006 Report Share Posted July 29, 2006 Hi,Well i've been searching all day for an answer and yet didnt find any..The problem i have is that i have to install winXP into a notebook hard disk of 40GB. But that notebook doesnt have CDROM nor Floppy drive.My idea was to put that HD in another notebook wich i have and has CDROM and then copy the winXP intalling filed into it. Once done take out the HD and put it back into the noteboke which dont have drives.The problem is that i dont know how to do it and if it works..Any other ideas ?????Please help...Thank you. Once done take out the HD and put it back into the noteboke which dont have drives.Well, My opinion would be that if it didn't come with any kind of drives to speak of and it's unable to boot from USB then it problably won't run WinXP either....Does it not have any spots in it for drives..????I'd say you need one of these things... ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb Posted July 30, 2006 Report Share Posted July 30, 2006 All laptops without internal floppy and CD drive (e.g. Toshiba, Sony) came with external drives that could be connected alternatingly (with a dedicated connection, not USB). r4may Posted August 3, 2006 Report Share Posted August 3, 2006 If there is room on the hard disk you could put that HD in another notebook wich i have and has CDROM and then copy the winXP instalation disk onto a seperat partion.
