Visual C++ Runtime Error on brand new pc

Recommended Posts

I have a brand new Dell pc - high end - and am having probs with a MSVisual C++ Runtime Error coming up everytime one user is logged in and then another tries to log in too. Have to reboot to get thru it. The pc is brand new out of the box!... is this error related to conflicts in new or old s/w installations?..I've seen alot of postings on other sites saying it related to the Google Toolbar - we get it on trying to open all apps not just I.E. We did add on MS Streets & Maps and the I.E v7.0 - could it be related to either?...

Do either of these help?

This?

Or this?

If not, can you post back with more detail of what's in the error message.

The error reads: Program:C:\Windows\Explorer.exe or C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer/iexplorer.exe - This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applicationssupport team for more info.

This error occurs is a 2nd user tries to open ANY application whilst another user is still logged on. Requires me to restart and close out the other user inorder to relog in and be able to open any app.

Its not due to having installed Office as the error was happening prior to any Office install. I removed the Google Toolbar as many forums were saying it was due to that - but its still happening. Any more suggestions would be highly appreciated!... this pc is essentially straight out of the box!.. why are we having these issues?!?!
