maxus3d Posted July 30, 2006 Report Share Posted July 30, 2006 Hello,since some time I'm getting a blue screen during startup (mostly when the desktop is loaded and the startup programs are loading). Sometimes I get it when I'm away from the computer (perhaps when the screensaver is starting but I'm not sure it's the screensaver that's causing it, it could also be random).The errorcode I get is: 0x000000D1 DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.I have just formatted my computer because of this error but I'm still having it...I have Windows XP Pro with SP1 installed. Let's first eliminate one popular cause - do you have by any chance ZoneAlarm 6.5 installed?Nope, that's not installed :)For Microsoft information regarding this error CLICK HEREI've looked at that website but I'm not sure what possible fault I could have (in my openingspost I've put links to the problems that I'm most likely to have).I also ran memtest86 to see if the problem could be faulty RAM. maxus3d Posted August 2, 2006 Author Report Share Posted August 2, 2006 The problem was my motherboard, some bad capacitors.My computer didn't start anymore, didn't even do a POST.Today I installed a new motherboard and all works fine now :)Thanks for the help though!
