cam721
I have a Toshiba Satellite 5105-S501 Laptop that seriously needs to be reformatted. I bought the laptop new 4 years ago (or so), but it didn't come with a Windows CD. I do have Toshiba's Recovery & Applications CD. Is there anything I can do to reinstall Windows, to have a nice clean hard drive again?Any suggestions?

-pops-
As Jason says, most computers that are supplied without a separate copy of Windows have a copy of the O/S installed on a hidden partition which should be accessible via the supplied Recovery Disk.Do you have the manual for the machine? That should contain instructions on how you recover Windows. All this may fail, though, if you have already tried to format the drive.
