Windows Sound Controls

Alright, I just bought some logitech x-530's. The system puts out entirely too much bass. I have completely turned off the low freq volume in the sound controls and I have every possible setting on the cpu set at surround and 5.1 etc. Just wondering if you guys know of any way to down the low freq output even more. I googled an equalizer with no results, maybe thats not what I should search, let me know. Thanks.

I have the Logitech X-530's also and they can be very bassy indeed but i rectified this by downloading the AC97 audio configurator which corresponds to my Realteck soundcard, this gives me the ability to use predetermined settings i.e Bass, Treble, Rock, Classical etc but I can also choose what frequencies to turn up and down. If the AC97 audio configurator does not control your system, sorry to sound obvious but there is a bass control knob on the back of the subwoofer which is very effective, see how you go with that and failing that see if there are any 5.1 surround equalizers on www.download.com or a similar site?

yeah man, i already tried the obvious bass control knob thanks ill look into the ac97
