MSN then decides to freeze all of a sudden.. but i knew from previous experience that the information/conversation may be saved somewhere in windows files. The conversation didn't actually save in 'previous msg history' as it wasnt closed off properly so no luck there.But what i did was do a search of the 'windows' file for the most recent modified files which i thought might contain the conversation. So i copy and pasted these files which carried the names:CollectedData_1798.xmlhistory_db.xml(both from - C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\DataColl)as well as:MSMSGS.EXE-2B6052DE.pfMSNMSGR.EXE-366A1A81.pfDataStore.edb(all from - C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch)So i was just wondering if there was anyway in recovering this conversation in anyway (using or not using these files i saved)?? benb Posted August 30, 2006 Report Share Posted August 30, 2006 There is no way to get back your conversation info unless Windows dumped the current memory to disk.Also, it could be saved if you were using Msg Plus! or the real MSN chat logger.But no, I'm sorry, there is nothing you can do.
