arendium Posted September 14, 2006 Report Share Posted September 14, 2006 ok got a question.i got a laptop that i want to login into a domain with.i connectin through a wireless card but i doesnt get an IP at that stage of the boot.i only get an ip after i logged into windows (into the computer itself and not the domain)so how do i get an ip during boot so i can login to a domin?the wlan card is a builtin Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN...hugs /Jakob Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
cozofdeath Posted September 15, 2006 Report Share Posted September 15, 2006 You must authenticate yourself before you recieve an ip address on a domain. Is the wireless router configured to forward DHCP broadcasts? Routers by design will not let broadcasts through, and DHCP uses broadcasts to get you an address.
