NaO and port 2245

Hi guys

This is just to satisfy my idle curiosity, but I've noticed that every few minutes my PC fires of a whole load of UDP messages using port 2245 as the source, with an apparently random port number as the destination.

The packets seem to be going to a variety of addresses - some seem to be routers in the BT and NTL broadband networks.

I looked up port 2245 and its listed as protocol HaO - but the domain name its registered with (www.hao.org) was registered with fake details and a DNS query on the website name returns a 192.168.x.x private address!

It doesn't seem to matter which applications are running, so is this something that Winows does automatically (and if so why?) or is it evidence of trojan/phising type activity?

Any ideas?
