"Insert system disk and press enter to continue".

My question is this:-

If the hard drive electronics are fried you will need professional help to recover the data.

Thats fair enough. I have replaced the circuit board and can get the drive to spin up. I have set it to slave and put it into another machine to try and get an image from it.

The problem i have at the mo is that i cant get the other machine to recognise the drive. I have had this prob before but have forgoten how to fix it.

Can some one help please.

Right click your 'My Computer' Icon, choose manage then disk management. You will see your slave drive there. initialise it by right clicking on it and select from the menu. It will now show up on your machine.

I have removed your msn address to stop you receiving spam. :)
