ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Hello, and welcome to the Windows Forum!I do not know Microsoft Works, but probably your problem is not directly caused by that software. I see in your profile that you use Win XP, and that you have 512MB of RAM (which should be sufficient). Could it be that you don't have enough virtual memory? What is the size of your page file (Control Panel, System, tab Advanced, Performance Settings, tab Advanced, Virtual memory)?

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
That is the Microsoft-recommended size (1.5 * physical memory size), but I think it's a stupid recommendation! Can you make it larger, e.g. 1GB or 1.5GB? You'll have to reboot for the increase to take place.
