mr.kranky
Hi, I'm using a machine with 3 others in my hous. I was going to Update my Windows today but then I couldnt find the icon, and when I went to the update site I got the message that the required files for updating wasn't on my computer, and the site didn't fix it. Does anyone knows how I could install Windows Update back into my machine manually?Regards Mr. Kranky
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Hello, and welcome to the Windows Forum! You should visit http://update.microsoft.com/ (using Internet Explorer); this should reinstall all prerequisites for WindowsUpdate. If you still get any errors, please give us the exact error message and code (it is usually a 4-byte hexadecimal code in the format 0x800A138F).
