opac Posted September 23, 2006 Report Share Posted September 23, 2006 hi,ive had this problem for a while now.my computer kept restarting when windows loaded. After hours of playing around with my hardware and windows settings, i found that every thing is fine as long as "automatic update" is not loaded when the windows starts (run - msconfig - services). and there are 3 updates i just cant install.if i enable/start "automatic update" (through run - services.msc), i see the yellow update available icon on the system tray and when i try to install the updates, the comp restarts everytime and gives a stop error.the error seems to keep changing:BCCode : 1000008e BCP1 : C0000005 BCP2 : F8220928 BCP3 : F7E09A20BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1BCCode : 1000008e BCP1 : C0000005 BCP2 : F6BDD928 BCP3 : EFF6396CBCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
