CompanionZ
Hi!I am having problems with my desktop - whenever I click on the desktop (Left click), it clicks as though it was a right click, and when I right click, it does nothing. I don't have a clue what could be the problem, nor do I have a clue how I could fix this. This just happened today when I logged on. There was nothing suspicious before. However, when i go on the internet or something, the left mouse button works just fine, but the right one doesn't work at all. The left button works on the start menu etc. This problem is very worrying to me. I have restarted my lap top a number of times hoping that would solve it, but it has yet to. Thanks for your replies! djohn
If your referring to your touchpad on the laptop and not a separate mouse that you have connected to use then try removing the drivers for the touchpad, reboot the laptop and they will install again. It does sound like the driver is corrupted. To do this you need a right click on your 'My computer' Icon then hardware tab/device manager, scroll down to touchpad right click action to open the properties and remove the touchpad. reboot your laptop and all should be fine.If your having a problem doing this because the left/right clicks are not working as they should then connect an ordinary USB mouse to carry out these actions. Pleases post back and let us know how you get on. If the above does not work we will see if there is something else to try.
