alds Posted September 24, 2006 Report Share Posted September 24, 2006 while im installing windows xp an error occured some dll files are being asked...then i clicked retry,it continued installing again.but several files are still being asked what could be the cause of this errors?please help?is it the memory?or the cd-rom?i tried other OS but still the same problem occurs..except for windows 98,i managed to install win98 then after installing some drivers and programs a popup appeared complaining about a kernel error then it hungs,after reseting the pc scans and fixes the registry then it asks for a restart again and again.... :( Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When you first try to install XP it will ask you to 'Press any key to load from disk' do it the first time only. During the install your machine should reboot two more times and you will see the same message but do not press the key, just leave it to continue loading from the hard drive otherwise you will be in an endless loop of rebooting and trying to run from the XP disk.If this is where your going wrong then please try as I suggest.
