Can not connect on to the internet

:( Well it looks as if I can not connect on to the internet at home. Can any one help me with this issue. I have a cable modem that connects me however when I try to repair the line this is the error message I get: under the Repair 1394 connection it is saying Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action can not be completed, TCP/IP is not enabled for this connection. Cannot proceed for assitance contact a the person who manages your network or your friendly neighborhood Windows Forum expert can some one help, also when I try to repair through MSN it is saying I have no IP Address what does this all mean Thank you :flowers:

Not too fluent myself but more techie people will be in later.

If it connects you, why are you trying a repair ?

Have you checked in Control panel, Network connection, then right click on the icon and in the properties scroll down the list and check if their is a tick in the TCP/IP box.
