please_and_thankyou
:DThe project: A bootable DVD containing Ghost for Backing up and RestoringHDD's from HDD Image files. DOS driver support for the DVD-ROM drive isrequired for reading the HDD Image files. We have been using NEC drives ND-3500 series, ND-3540 ND-3550A and ND-4700.Our pet project requires booting to DOS with access to the DVD-ROM drive. In the past we have been able to access CD-ROM drives from DOS using thevery common OakCDROM.sys drivers from the Win98 EBD. This has not workedwith these NEC Drives. We would appreciate any help in locating workingDOS drivers for any and all of these drives. :D
-pops-
As MSDOS is an obsolescent system I am doubtful that current hardware such as DVD drives have software intended to work with it.However, it might be worth emailing NEC to make certain. -pops-
My thoughts are still the same - that there won't be MSDOS drivers for this device.
