bvoid Posted October 27, 2006 Report Share Posted October 27, 2006 HiI have Windows XP installed.I have previously installed Windows Vista on a partition with other data on my harddrive (an other partition than Windows XP). But that is not the issue.Now I want to remove the folders related to that Vista installation. But I can't delete the Windows, Users and Program Files folders. When I try to delete them, an error occurs that says that the file may be in use or write protected.I have tried to boot on a dos disk, and tried to delete the folders there, but again an error occours. I can't delete the folder anywhere.Why is that? And how do I manage to delete thoose three folders, without deleting the other data on the partition?Any help would be great. I think none of the windows files is in use then...Just dl the livecd using windows, burn the iso on a cd, set your pc to boot from cdrom, restart your puter so it boots from the cdrom.
