Wise1
I am trying to resolve an issue with my Fathers pc!He is getting the message that the hal.dll is corrupt, possibly the boot.ini files needs to be fixed according to other posts I have seen.He has only had the pc for a few weeks and did not carry out a backup of the files in the recovery partition and I dont have a windows xp disc that I could use to try and repair the problem. Can anyone suggest a way out of this?Lee
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Hello, and welcome to the Windows Forum!Firstly, when does that error occur - during startup, or later? Can you try to boot into 'Last known good configuration' (from the same menu as you boot into Safe Mode) ?
