sayyar77 Posted October 29, 2006 Report Share Posted October 29, 2006 basically the names states for itself. For some reason my CD ROM and DVD ROM drives just disappeared. My comp cant read any disks whatsoever. Please, if you know how to solve this problem post ASAP!!both CD and DVD ROMs open when the button is pressed, however, they do not appear on the my computer window. The error code was 39 and here is the way the problem was solved:I removed the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters values completely from the following registry key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}thanks anyways Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
