sidy Posted October 30, 2006 Report Share Posted October 30, 2006 Hi there!I have two partitions in my PC. Disc C: of 80gig with Windows XP (can't be opened)And disc D: of 40gig with windows xp. (can not be opened)To go to my data on partition D I only go through Windows partition C, where windows works fine, but when I click on the data on partition D it says "Access denied". So then, I have made a Back Up of the data. For example, Photos or any other thing. From partition D to partition C but I haven't found the option of how to open the photos.So "HOW CAN I OPEN THE BACK UP?"I have used NERO but it didn't copy the data I needed. It seems to be happening something else that I don't know.I have also tried the recovery CD but it ask for a password that I don't know. Click hereThank you for the reply.I had been already trying the link you gave me but it doesn't tell how to see, visualize the pictures and etc.Can you tell me step by step how to visualize the data? I restored the data, but it is always ask me to restore and never open to see! So I restore and restore again. I choose where I want it restored to. Then I click in that restored data, again, it gives a option of restoring again!?!? What is the point???????Help me please. nellie2 Posted November 3, 2006 Report Share Posted November 3, 2006 To be honest with you, I am a bit stumped.You won't be able to 'see' the data in the backup file (*.bkf) because it is compressed. But once you have restored it to the location of your choice you should be able to see it. I have never used Windows backup as a backup solution so I cannot really offer any more advice than what is shown in the article,If your bkf file is corrupt then this might help, I cannot personally recommend it though and I don't know how effective the free trial is Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
