Ralph659 Posted November 3, 2006 Report Share Posted November 3, 2006 Hello,From time to time my pc reboots without any reason This can be very annoying especially since I use that pc for my work...I have reinstalled everything with the latest drivers and for a few weeks everything went fine but an hour ago, my computer rebooted again without any reason.I have attached the minidump file.It would be very very nice if someone could decipher the file and explain me what's the problem.Btw, the systemlog says: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x1000000a (0x0065005a, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804f8c38). -pops- Posted November 3, 2006 Report Share Posted November 3, 2006 Is there anything in the Event Viewer that would give a more definite clue as to what's happening?My first thoughts in random reboots are overheating but as the error gives a bug check, it is likely to be something else. A quick search for 0x1000000a points to RAM errors so, do you have more than one stick of RAM in the machine? If so, remove one stick and see how it goes. Ralph659 Posted November 3, 2006 Author Report Share Posted November 3, 2006 Thank you for your reply.I have indeed two sticks of 512MB but I've already done a memtest during several hours and that doesn't give an error.I could try to work with only 1 stick but the problem is that the reboots only happen once in a few days or weeks and I need the 2nd stick to run my programs...But I guess when I can run memtest during almost 7 hours without an error, that my RAM is ok? Ralph659 Posted November 3, 2006 Author Report Share Posted November 3, 2006 Thank you for your reply.Right now I'm indeed temporarily using a wireless USB receiver but I also had the rebootproblems while using my wireless ethernet-card.I don't think it has to do with that USB receiver. cozofdeath Posted November 3, 2006 Report Share Posted November 3, 2006 Do you have a wireless D-Link adapter? If so try uninstalling and reinstalling the software.
