ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Hello, and welcome to the Windows Forum!Right-click on 'My Computer', then Properties - the General tab will show you the amount of RAM you have. (I don't know about the output from the DOS 'mem' command).
tchau
Hello, and welcome to the Windows Forum!Right-click on 'My Computer', then Properties - the General tab will show you the amount of RAM you have. (I don't know about the output from the DOS 'mem' command). That's the problem, I see only 2.25GB of RAM, but I have 4 1GB DIMMS on the motherboard. Why isn't the system properties showing the entire 4GB of RAM?
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Ah - this is what your problem is...First of all: does your BOIS handle (and see) 4GB of RAM? If yes, then I can only point you to Google - there are lots of discussions and answers regarding your problem.

I purchased a new DELL computer and configured the order for 4GB RAM and assumed that DELL would take care of the rest. What do I search for in Google?
