We need more information.

For example

Do you hear the Windows boot-up sounds and shut-down sound

Have you checked to ensure your audio is not muted or turned to minimum

Do you have a sound card installed or do you use the audio built into the motherboard

Have you checked in device manager to see that your audio is working correctly

Are you sure that your speakers are connected correctly and are powered up.

Which media player are you using

Can you play a CD in your CD drive

Can you play a sound file stored on your hard drive

i've checked in my sounds and audio devices properties and there is no sound device. the sound icon in the taskpane is also missing. after rebooting my notebook the driver is reinstalled, but the next time i turn on the notebook the problem occurs again

You write "the driver is reinstalled"; does it mean that it installed itself, or you installed it manually? If so, how did you install it: just run the installer, or did you do a search for 'new devices'? Are there any instructions with your driver installer?
