Vista Boot Loader

Hello,

I month ago I installed a beta version of Windows Vista. I noticed that the setup installed the vista boot loader, which gave me the option to start either Vista or earlier version of Windows. After some time I deleted Vista but the loader stays. I have some questions regarding it:

- How can I reconfigure the boot loader to give me only installed OSs as a boot option.

- If I installed UNIX/Linux could I still use the boot loader or Microsoft still doesn't acknowledge existence of other OSs out there :)

- Do I have the option to not install it?

Regards,

Yeah Windows still doesn't want to get along with others.

Not that I know of.

Sorry its not a short and simple answer, but reading these will help you understand a lot. There a lot of workarounds and new tools available now. The pro-networks site the links point to have a very good boot manager tool if you want to check it out. Or you could use Vista's bcdedit.
