For those who use Logitech Setpoint, you will find Windows Vista will support the majority of features as standard without the need for Setpoint.

But if you find your keyboard and mouse missing some vauled features, you will find that any Logitech Setpoint software designed for Windows XP will install on Windows Vista; just make sure it is version 3.10 or higher.

Please note, each and every time you log into Windows after installing the software, any annoying pop up will appearing asking you to confirm is Logitech Updater is OK to run.

So far, I have only found one work around for this (turning off the updater in Setpoint doesnt work), and this is to turn User Account Control (UAC) off.

It is not recommended to turn UAC for security reasons, but if you find yourself getting rather annoyed with the popup, you can turn it off by doing the following:

  • In the search box of the Windows Start Menu, type 'msconfig'.

  • Select the 'Tools' tab.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the list, and click 'Disable UAC' then press the launch button.

Once you have rebooted, UAC will be disabled.
