Alexis Blaze
My friends computers is infected with virus and i'm trying to clean it.. I want to delete all the virus files and registry before the virus startup when windows start, so i need to startup the computer in command prompt ( not the GUI ).. I've try using "Safe Mode with Command Prompt" at boot options, but it only works in one computer and failed in the other four... when i try it in the other four, "Safe Mode with Command Prompt" is acting like "Safe Mode" ( it bring up the GUI ), so the virus is active and i can't clean it... anybody knows why this happen?? or is there any other way to startup windows in command prompt... Alexis Blaze
oh.. nevermind.. just found out that the virus change the registry values on "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\SafeBoot" and"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot" from "cmd.exe" to "C:\WINDOWS\system32\Av-Prev.exe"
