Hello everybody,

I will be thankful to all giving me the information about following error

After updating definations of NIS 2002 whenever I log into my account I get to see following error from Explorer.exe.

"The application or DLL F:\WINDOWS\System32\RichEd20.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."

After logging in i got same error again from these applications too

Norton Internet Security: NMain.exe

Iexplorer

hh.exe

HelpCtr.exe

Can anybody please tell whats wrong?

Thanks in advance.

lalit.

I cannot be of direct help here as I won't allow anything with the Norton (or Symantec) moniker anywhere near my machines but, you state you are updating a 2002 version of NIS. Bear in mind it is now 2007 and there will be a number of applications which that version of NIS doesn't recognise e.g. WMP, IE7 Windows security software and so on.

Do Norton have anything to say about this error? http://www.symantec.com/home_homeoffice/support/index.jsp
