WinToolsXP 1.06

Added tray icon to the taskbar notification area. This way you can access the application even if other windows are on top of it, by double-clicking on the tray icon.

I wonder how long he will keep this up - releasing a new version every day...

Version 1.07 was released earlier this week.

-Added buttons for Networking, System File Checker, System Restore. The latter two were user requested.

-Set tab order so it is now possible to cycle through the buttons alphabetically by pressing the TAB key.

Version 1.08

-Fixed Networking button.

-Added several new buttons.

-Taskbar tray icon can now be used to exit the program or restore it via right-click context menu.

I don't know if I should continue to post updates here, as the tool has that convenient 'Check for Updates' button. I also don't know if it is actually used by some forum members, as the tool requires .NET Framework 2.0

Do you use it, Pat?

Do you think it worthwhile installing or is it one of those things that once installed, gets forgotten about until you do a spring clean and wonder what it is and why it's on your computer?

Hmm, that's a good question...

I find it very useful (and more and more so with every new version), but to be perfectly honest - I have never actually used it :0

What makes it useful is that it has so many system tools available on one single click, without having to go to the Control Panel, then drill down various applets until you get the tool you want.

So why then didn't I use it yet? Because... I had for years all the tools that I regularly use shortcutted to the Desktop (Device Manager, Computer Management, Administrative Tools, Services Manager, Security, Component Services, System Restore [never used], Internet Information Services, etc.)

Maybe the little tool will let me tidy up my Desktop a bit - I have more than 70 items cluttered all over my Desktop.
