tatala
Windows 2000 Professional won't let me into windows. I get this error: Your system has no paging file or the paging file is too small. I even tried it in safe mode and after loading my personal settings the message appears and it tells me what to do when I am on the desktop. Need help please. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Welcome to the Windows Forum! Is this something that "suddenly" started happening, meaning - did Windows 2000 work correctly before? If so, what changed? When you boot into Safe Mode, I do not quite understand "the message appears and it tells me what to do when I am on the desktop". Are you able to change the page file size? To do so, right-click on 'My Computer', Properties, tab Advanced, Performance Settings, tab Advanced, Virtual Memory (these are the exact steps on Windows XP, but it was pretty similar in 2000).What is your current setting? How much physical RAM do you have? You should also consider removing some unnecessary startup programs. But we can do that later once you have fixed the page file size.P.S. The problem could also be that you have insufficient free disk space. If that is the case, use something like CCleaner to free up some disk space.
