I accidentally moved a very important folder to some kind of a systems folder, and now when I try to access or move the important folder, a popup window says that the folder is not a available and that the use of the folder is prohibited. Is there any way I can get access to this folder? It contains 90% of my disk space, so not being able to even delete it would be just plain hilarious :) Thank you! The folder has appeared from somewhere? and is named 907c20bf96ebe54feb. Theres a few .dll files in it, plus my folder. Otherwise it's empty. When right-clicking the important folder, it says that it's empty, though is should have some 100gb of files which do show up example in defragmentation.. Cannot copy or replace foldername: use prohibited.Make sure the drive is not full or encrypted, and that the file is not in use." Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When you install certain programs with a certain kind of installer it will create a temporary file with a randomly generated name only used for temporary installation files until the installation is done. Just like the one you have. I believe the Microsoft MSI installers do this. Did you find 907c20bf96ebe54feb in your C:\ folder? If it is and you moved your folder and files into that folder you may get the problem your having. Because the installer, when done, is supposed to delete 907c20bf96ebe54feb but when there are files in 907c20bf96ebe54feb that it doesn't know about it cannot delete it or if there is an install problem the 907c20bf96ebe54feb folder could remain there. Here are somethings that may help... A restart may then give access to the files. A file unlocker may work like Nelly said.You may have to change the permissions on the folder.Or shutting down explorer.exe, installer, or another program may even allow you to delete/access it.
