avexhype Posted February 15, 2007 Report Share Posted February 15, 2007 I have done so much in the past 5 hours I cannot explain it all...so I will shorten this....I had a problem with my internet connection since yesterday....I have called my router manafacturer and we have tried everything, EVERYTHING....the company has never had to talk to a customer for as long as they had to me...I ran a very great program called hijackthis...it fixed the problem...turns out it was spyware...some .dll LSP provider file was missing...I didnt think hijack this would fix it...hijack this told me to use spybot (luckily I had the program)...and when I restarted my computer I could access the web...but this happened again...anyone know how to get the missing internet access file? I think hijackthis told me to go to a website..ill do it tomorrow..I just wanted to share this..... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Do you have anyactive anti-spyware program(s)active anti-virus programfirewallon your system? Also, are you up-to-date with security updates? Run http://secunia.com/software_inspector/ to see if you have any missing security updates. Also, install and run Belarc Advisor to find other security-related issues on your system. avexhype Posted February 15, 2007 Author Report Share Posted February 15, 2007 yes, it told me to go to winsock...im missing "rsvp32_2.dll"...Hijackthis does tell you to go to a website for some problems...you have to click on "info on selected item"...it also tells me I can go to cexx.org...I do have anti-spyware programs that I am using...
