Proxy Settings

Hi there,

When I am at home, I connect directly through the internet, however, when I am at school, I need to configure the applications I need (eg Firefox and MSN) to work with the school proxy, allowing me access to the internet. Is there a quick way round this so I don't have to type the proxy settings into Firefox and MSN everytime I go to school - i.e. is there a tool within windows that will change this for me, or a 3rd party application?

Also, if there is a method for this, is it specific to XP, or is there a way to do this in Vista as well?

Thanks

Stuart

I have a similar need; certain things I need to proceed through the proxy server, others not. What I do is use Internet Explorer (set for proxy settings) for one task, and Firefox (not set for proxy) for the other.

On the other hand I am sure there is a quick way of changing the settings with some script; I just don't know how.
