Nafigs Posted February 22, 2007 Report Share Posted February 22, 2007 Well as it says i have some weird problem and i have no idea what cause this :/ Happens when i watch some movie most of time, it drops out me a msg like: "Disk error! Disk failed. Disk location <controller 0, channel 0, master>" after this msg in task bar pops out some other msg like: "Windows was unable to save all data for the file E:\ (name of the movie i was watching) The data has been lost." After restart (whats only way to comtinue coz i cant open anything after this) everything is kinda ok and i havent lost any data but it's just keeps telling me this time after time... :( In other forum i was told this could be coz of HDD and they told me to do check disk, i did and it said that there is no bad blocks! Also i was told to look for newer drivers, but drivers for what?Well i would be rly grateful if someone can help me to fix this! Tnx! cozofdeath Posted February 24, 2007 Report Share Posted February 24, 2007 chkdsk /p can only be run from the recovery console and it will not fix anything if it is run alone. If you open the command prompt and type chkdsk /? to see the available arguments /p is not there. So it you want it to fix and recover information you must run chkdsk /p /r from the recovery console.
