similar (?) My Pix problem

Hello

Couple days ago lots of picture folders apparently disappeared from My Pictures. Can't see them in Windows Explorer or Picasa. If I do a search for the folders, they turn up and are reported as being where they belong. Any thoughts? Including maybe how to reassign them to another folder?

Only thing I can think of I did "funny" was remove the plugged-in camera, possibly -- but not certainly -- without proper protocols.

On the other hand, other funky things have been happening in my computer: ctrl-alt-delete brings up the expected window, but with no buttons to minimize or close it. (I have to open several copies and then I can go to the bottom of my screen and "Close Group.") And so forth.

Have run Ad-Aware, Spybot, Norton One-Button, and Norton Antivirus and rebooted.

TIA,

Denno

When you do a search and find the folders, right click on them, click properties and make sure they don't have hidden or system properties checked.

They are "read Only." But----now that I look carefully at the location string, seems they have gotten into a sub-level of My Documents called "NetHood." Dunno how this happened, but presumably I can simply drag the My Pictures folder up a couple levels to where it is easier to navigate to.

The task manager issue can probably be solved by double clicking on the border.
Yes, it was, thank you.

Thanks --- you got me looking more carefully at things so I could see the solution.
