humbletech99
I need users to be able to do "net file" in a cmd window to see who is using a file as this stops them from getting their work done. Unfortunately only administrators can do this.Is there a way to let users run this one program as an admin without giving them the full admin credentials? IMTNT
Depending on the OS, they can right click on Command Prompt and select 'run as' than choose an Administrator account. They will however need the password.
humbletech99
that's pretty rubbish though. It would basically mena having to give all my users domain admin privileges or at least local admin privileges.I only want them to run this one command with elevated privs.
cozofdeath
A software restriction policy may work.http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechn...n/rstrplcy.mspxI know it says restriction but you can do much more with it.
