love2fish
I backed up my HD to an external USB drive and the image.dat file is there. I reinstalled windows and am trying to reinstall the image file, however Transfer Wizard doesn't find the file. I can find the file using explorer, but File Transfer Wizard doesn't see it. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
-pops-
Did you transfer the files using the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard or Windows Backup?Although superficially the same files with the same extension, you must use the same program to recover the files as you used to make them. love2fish
Did you transfer the files using the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard or Windows Backup?Actually I backed up using both programs just to be safe. I can restore the windows backup (backup.bkf) and it restores all of my applications (sort of) but all of my data is missing. When I click on "my documents" it says it cannot be accessed. When I try to restore using Files and Settings Transfer Wizard I point it to the folder where the file is (img00001.dat) but it doesn't recognize it.
