lukcour
I am attempting to get a backgammon programme written for the internet. Yes I am aware that you can get free downloads of the game. Unfortunately these downloads, plus most of the backgammon sites are programmes where random number generators are the last consideration. It makes the game a pre-determined farce. This is not a figment of my imagination. I am a good mathematician, and a very good dice (craps) player. For this you have to know the odds of dice. Wish I was as good a mathematician as my 11 year old grandson who has aspergers syndrome. It is my intention to run a site where the game is honest, using a reputable rng. The difference in advice given is astonishing. Graduates from a reputable university saying it is a simple programme with basic instructions. Another computer person telling me to forget it as it would take hundreds of hours to write and cost thousands. Yet another telling me that of course the game has to be fixed for the programme to understand it. Result. Total confusion.Opinions and advice would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone know where I could get this programme written? Hope you experts can help.Graham
