merseycat Posted April 6, 2007 Report Share Posted April 6, 2007 Hi everyoneI am new to this site, and was looking for some advice.I have a laptop, which is a few months old now, its a decent laptop, with 120GB Hard Drive and 1GB Ram, running XP media (i have 70% memory free).The last few times i have tried to run a disk check, it stops at 33% on the 4/5 section. It will stay at that point for hours (overnight has been the longest) i then have to manually restart the laptop.There isnt any problems with the laptop then, but the same thing happens when i run disk check again.Does anyone know what the problem could be? I cant pinpoint an exact time or even a download or anything around the time this started which could be the reason behind the disk check not running properly.Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated.ThanksCatherine Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
andsome Posted April 6, 2007 Report Share Posted April 6, 2007 I wonder if there may be BAD areas on the disk stopping the check from proceeding any further.
