Disable the thing thats after screensaver

Hey guys just wanna know, after a while Vista will go to the screensaver as usual, no problems there but then after the screen save does soemthing else it's like the system is kinda shut down and have to push the button on the tower and it goes straight back to what the screen was on before the screensaver started, know what I'm talking about???

Well anyway I wanna know if there is a way to disable that somehow coz when I'm downloading a large file and it goes to screensaver then this other thing, when I push the button on the tower to come back on the file has stopped downloading, kinda like it's paused itself and it can't be unpaused.

I temporarily disable the screensaver when downloading large files on my XP machines.

To do this, I RIGHT click a blank area of the desktop and click Properties -> Screensaver. At the box where the screensaver type is displayed click on the down arrow and select [None].

Nevermind got an answer off someone else, standby was the problem but all fixed for when downloading large files :)
